Kelly Egan

Kelly Egan, a Senior Appellate Attorney at the Statewide Appellate Support Center, supervises a team focusing on litigation support for trial counsel and appellate support to counsel on direct appeal. For five years before joining ILS, she was the appeals director at the Rural Law Center of New York, overseeing their program that provides mandated appellate representation in several upstate rural counties and representing indigent clients in criminal and family law appeals. She has clerked at the Appellate Division, Third Department, and served as an assigned counsel panel attorney in the Third Department and as an assistant district attorney in Rensselaer County. Kelly obtained a B.A. in psychology from American University, an M.A. in forensic psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and a J.D. summa cum laude from Albany Law School.
