Jennifer Chenu

Jennifer Chenu graduated from SUNY Binghamton in 2009 and Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 2013. Her commitment to public defense began when she completed a summer internship with the Binghamton Public Defender’s Office in 2008. While in law school, Jen spent two semesters working on appeals for clients facing the death penalty and successfully petitioned CWRU to create a semester-long externship program that allowed her to spend her last semester representing clients as a full-time intern at the Colorado Public Defender’s Office. Upon graduation, Jen worked for the Colorado Public Defender – Boulder County Office for over four years. Jen left the Colorado Public Defender to move back east and worked for the New Hampshire Public Defender’s Office for nearly two years. As a public defender in both Colorado and New Hampshire, Jen’s caseload consisted of clients accused of every type of case, including sexual assault, attempted murder, homicide and other violent offenses.
