Tammeka Freeman

Tammeka is the ILS’ Ambassador to the World, being the first voice callers to our office hear, and the first person visitors to the Office see. She also keeps the Office running smoothly, and helps the rest of the Office staff to navigate the new State purchasing and HR procedures.

Utilizing her unique interdisciplinary background in law and nursing, she has served in State and Local governmental organizations and the private sector. Immediately prior to joining the Office, Tammeka was with the New York State Senate’s Democratic Conference, supporting a staff of 6 counsels and analysts and preparing daily briefing books. She has utilized her knowledge of nursing as a Medical Receptionist with The Endocrine Group and as a Medical Test Assistant with the NYS Department of Civil Service. She has also served with the Albany School District as Secretary and Security Officer, promoting the safety of students and staff, and with the Office of State Comptroller.
